A Spanish TV reporter had the shock of his life as a passerby snatched his phone while he was getting ready for a live broadcast.

The robber in a hoodie snatched the phone and within no time disappeared into a lane behind the reporter. The incident, which occurred at Sarandi in Argentina, was captured on camera and the footage has been widely circulated on social media.

Diego Demarco, the reporter at En Vivo El Nueve, chased the robber and was heard shouting in Spanish: “Give it to me. My phone is stolen.”

El Nueve shared the footage on social media, writing that their reporter was robbed shortly before he was to go live.

People living around saw the footage and recognised the thief. Demarco did not report the matter after he got his phone back.
