Three militants and a civilian girl have been killed and a CRPF officer was injured in a gunfight in Srinagar’s Batamaloo space on Thursday morning, police mentioned.
The gunfight broke out when joint groups of police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation within the congested Batamaloo space following an enter about militants’ presence.
“As the suspected area was being cordoned off, the hiding militants opened fire which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. Three militants were killed in the gunfight,” a police officer mentioned, including that within the gunfight a deputy commandant of the CRPF was additionally injured.
