Sunny Deol visits Gurdaspur after six months, discusses COVID scenario with officers

Gurdaspur BJP MP Sunny Deol on Friday visited his constituency and held discussions with senior officers over the coronavirus pandemic and different points.

The Bollywood actor up to now has confronted criticism from his political adversaries, together with the Congress, for staying away from his constituency for lengthy intervals.

This time, he visited Gurdaspur after a niche of about six months.

The parliamentarian met Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ishfaq and SSP Rajendra Sohal.

After assembly the SSP, Deol tweeted, “Positive discussions were held with the SSP related to making people more aware towards corona and on key issues pertaining to Gurdaspur’s law and order.”

He mentioned in his assembly with the deputy commissioner, the struggle towards coronavirus and improvement work being carried out by the Union authorities had been mentioned.

He is prone to meet senior district officers in Pathankot on Saturday.

Two days in the past, Deol had met Union minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi in reference to improvement work of his constituency.

Meanwhile, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Punjab’s Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, mentioned that Deol was not involved about individuals’s plight.

“We knew right from the start that he will not come here after winning the elections. Has he taken any interest in his constituency? He mostly stays away,” he mentioned. PTI
