A jawan of the Army’s counter-insurgency unity and a neighborhood militant commander have been killed in a gunfight in Pulwama this morning. Another soldier was injured within the gunfight.
In a separate incident, militants focused an Army patrol alongside the Baramulla-Srinagar freeway in north Kashmir, injuring a soldier.
The gunfight at Kamrazipora in Pulwama broke out when joint groups of forces launched an operation within the space following an enter about militants’ presence there.
“Two soldiers were injured in the gunfight while Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Azaad Lalhari was killed,” sources mentioned. The injured troopers have been taken to a hospital in Srinagar the place considered one of them, Sowar Jilajeet Singh Yadav of UP, succumbed to his accidents.
