Shiromani Akali Dal breaks away from BJP-led NDA

The Shiromani Akali Dal on Saturday decided to break away from BJP-led NDA. 

The decision was taken at a meeting of Akali Dal’s core committee at party head office in Chandigarh.

The meeting was presided over by party chief Sukhbir Badal.

Apart from Sukhbir Badal, senior party leaders Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Prem Singh Chandumajra, Charanjit Singh Atwal, Nirmal Singh Kahlon, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Dr Upinderjit Kaur, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Sikander Singh Maluka,Bikram Singh Majithia, Hira Singh Gabaria, Jagmit Singh Brar, Surjit Singh Rakhra, Baldev Singh Mann and Manjinder Singh Sirsa were present in the meeting.
