Ram Rahim named in ‘bir’ theft case

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Punjab Police on Monday named Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim as an accused within the June 2015 “bir” theft case. Ranbir Singh Khattra, the SIT head, stated as per the confessional statements of three of the accused within the case, the dera chief was behind the three sacrilege incidents at Faridkot’s Burj Jawahar Singh Wala and Bargari villages.

In all, 11 individuals have been named within the case. While seven had been arrested two days in the past, Mohinder Pal Bittu was killed within the Nabha jail final yr. The dera chief is lodged in Rohtak’s Sunaria jail after being convicted in a rape case. The SIT is but to arrest the remaining accused. inside
