Punjab experiences 350 new coronavirus circumstances, 7 deaths in 24 hours

Punjab reported 350 circumstances of coronavirus and 7 deaths due inside a span of 24 hours, taking the state’s tally to 9,792 infections with 246 deaths.

Amritsar reported three of Saturday’s seven deaths, the state’s COVID bulletin showed—a improvement that takes the state’s loss of life toll to 63. Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Kapurthala, Amritsar, and SAS Nagar every reported a loss of life, making up the remainder of the rely.

Death toll stands thus: Ludhiana (42), Jalandhar (33), Amritsar (63),  Sangrur (21), Patiala (19), Gurdaspur (10), Pathankot (9), SAS Nagar (10), Hoshiarpur (8), Tarn Taran (6), Kapurthala (8), Bathinda (4), Moga (4), Ferozepur (4), Fatehgarh Sahib (2),  Muktsar (1), Barnala (2), SBS Nagar (2),and Ropar (1).

Punjab has been seeing a gentle rise in coronavirus circumstances prior to now two months. June and July collectively account for 7,529 cases—over 76 per cent of the state’s circumstances. The state has reported 4,224 circumstances in July alone. 

Three districts—Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar—account for 46 per cent of the states infections and 56 per cent of its deaths.

July has seen Ludhiana and Jalandhar reporting an alarming rise in cases—Ludhiana has reported 927 new circumstances because the starting of July, and Jalandhar has reported 878 in the identical interval. For comparability, Ludhiana reported 647 new circumstances and Jalandhar recorded 493 in June.

Punjab has 3,092 lively circumstances.
