Agriculture Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey today formally extended an invite to Punjab farm leaders for talks with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Railways Minister Piyush Goyal on November 13.

Farm leader Balbir Singh Rajewal said: “We will hold a meeting of 30 unions, which have been leading the stir against the central farm laws, in Chandigarh on Thursday to chalk out a strategy for the November 13 meet.” Jagmohan Singh Patiala of the BKU (Dakaunda) said they would insist on scrapping of the laws.
