Powercom workers reduce energy provide to police station to avenge site visitors challan in Mansa

Powercom workers’ disconnected the ability provide of Boha police station in Mansa district over nonpayment of dues value Rs 5.59 lakh after a cop challaned one among its worker for not sporting a masks.

The incident came about on Monday when police challaned a powercom worker for not sporting a masks. Irked over this, powercom workers, underneath the Employees Federation and Technical Service Union Boha, staged a protest outdoors their Boha workplace.

Later, agitating workers went to Boha police station to chop the ability provide because the police station had the pending invoice of Rs 5.59 lakh. They returned after speaking to the reader however remained deeply anguished over the challan. In the night, they disconnected the ability provide to the police station.

Later, DSP Budhalda Baljinder Singh held a gathering with powercom officers on Monday and tried to resolve the difficulty.

SHO, Boha police station, Sandeep Bhatti, mentioned: “Boha Police station power bill has been outstanding, but this issue has been resolved and power supply has been restored”.
