Three militants, together with a prime Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander, have been killed throughout a day-long encounter with safety forces within the Rebban space of Sopore in north Kashmir as we speak.
The Pakistani militant, recognized by the police as Usman of the LeT, was concerned within the assault on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) group in Sopore on July 1. A jawan and a civilian have been killed within the encounter.
Though a cordon and search operation was launched at midnight after the safety forces obtained inputs on the presence of the militants within the space, the encounter started at four am. The police termed Usman’s killing an enormous success and mentioned arms and ammunition and incriminating materials had been discovered on the encounter website. Meanwhile, two grenades have been hurled in Awantipora.
