A BJP chief was injured on Sunday morning when militants fired at him in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, the police mentioned.
Abdul Hamid Najar of Ompora, BJP’s OBC district president Budgam, was on a morning stroll when the unknown militants fired at him.
“Najar was injured in the attack and was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for treatment,” a police officer mentioned. “He was allotted secured accommodation and had slipped away from there,” he added.
Soon after the assault, safety forces cordoned the world to hint the attackers.
This is the third assault in lower than every week on a BJP chief in Kashmir. On August four night, Arif Ahmad, a panch and a BJP chief, was critically injured when militants fired at him close to his residence at Akhran Qazigund. Arif is now battling for his life.
