Around 80 jhuggis in Saketri village near here were gutted in a fire on the evening Diwali on Saturday, a fire department official said.
Around 40 migrant families were left devastated and homeless.
After receiving an alert around 3:15 pm, as many as 6 fire tenders, including one from Kalka, were rushed to the spot. It took them more than 3 hours to put out the fire.
