MP man marries girlfriend, bride chosen by dad and mom at similar ceremony

In what might be first-of-its-kind marriage ceremony, a person in Madhya Pradesh married two girls on the similar time in the identical ‘mandap’ in presence of villagers and relations with all of the rituals and formalities.

Sandeep Uike, a resident of Madhya Pradesh’s Betul, solemnised the wedding with two girls at a ceremony in Keria village beneath Ghodadongri block, about 40 km from Betul district headquarters on July 8.

The district administration is now investigating how this might occur.

According to info, Uike, a tribal youth of Keria village, is now married to 2 girls — one from Hoshangabad district and one other from Koyalari village of Ghodadongri block. Uike got here involved with the girl from Hoshangabad when he was learning in Bhopal. As the courtship was occurring, his household determined to marry him to a lady of their selection from Koyalari village. This led to a dispute and to resolve this a gathering of the Panchayat was convened by the three households.

It was determined that if each girls are able to reside along with Uike, then each of them must be married to him.

The marriage ceremony ceremony was held in Keria village, the place the younger man solemnised the wedding with each the brides, taking seven rounds of the sacred fireplace. Those who attended the ceremony included the village people together with the households of bridegroom and each the brides.

This was the primary time {that a} bridegroom took vows to spend his life with two wives. All the formalities of the wedding together with rituals have been carried out.

Mishrilal Parate, vice-president of Janpad Panchayat Ghodadongri and a witness to the wedding, mentioned that the three households had no objection and themselves determined to go forward with the wedding.

Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s essential to take permission from the administration to organise any sort of operate. However, Ghodadongri Tehsildar Monika Vishwakarma mentioned no such permission for marriage was sought nor was any given. She mentioned she is sending an official to research the matter.
