Minor raped outdoors Covid ward in Patna, guard arrested; lady despatched for take a look at

A safety guard of Patna Medical faculty and Hospital (PMCH), the biggest hospital in Bihar, has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor lady outdoors a Covid-19 isolation ward within the hospital, police mentioned.

A police official mentioned on Thursday, that on July 8, the minor lady was seen wandering at Barh railway station. The little one helpline rescued the 15-year-old lady and handed over to the PMCH for Covid take a look at. 

It has been alleged that on the night time of July 8, the ward’s safety guard Mahesh Prasad (40) took the sufferer to the toilet and raped her.

The sufferer didn’t reveal this to anybody out of concern. When the members of Child Helpline got here to see her on Wednesday, she narrated the ordeal.

Aarti Jaiswal, in-charge of Patna Mahila Police Station, mentioned an FIR has been lodged on this connection on the premise of sufferer’s assertion and the accused has been arrested.

Police is investigating the whole case, she added.
