Militant gunned down by safety forces in J-Okay’s Budgam

Srinagar, September 22

A militant was killed on Tuesday in an in a single day encounter with safety forces in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, police mentioned.

The encounter started on Monday night within the Nawad space of Charar-e-Sharief in central Kashmir’s Budgam after the safety forces launched a cordon and search operation there following details about the presence of militants, a police official mentioned.

He mentioned the safety forces maintained a good cordon of the realm all through the evening and the gunfight resumed this morning.

In the alternate of fireside, a militant was killed, the official mentioned.

He mentioned the id and group affiliation of the slain militant was being ascertained.

The operation is happening, the official added.

On Monday, when the cordon was being established, a CRPF trooper was injured within the firing. PTI
