Government Rajindra Hospital, a tertiary healthcare institute, has been going through flak since kittens have been seen taking part in on the beds of the gynaecology ward.

The incident has despatched the hospital authorities right into a tizzy. It has been learnt that kittens had been noticed by a health care provider of the gynaecology division of the hospital.  

Sources stated kittens and canines had been recurrently seen within the hospital wards. They added {that a} cat had given infants a number of days in the past exterior the ward.  

A physician of the hospital, on the situation of anonymity, stated, “There is garbage outside the ward where kittens play and sometimes come inside. There are patients in the ward. It is dangerous for them too.”

Doctors added that Rajindra Hospital was dwelling to many stray animals, particularly, canines additionally. They added that the protection and hygiene of the sufferers is being compromised. “Dogs roam freely around the wards and also go into hospital bathrooms and toilets,” stated a senior physician. 

Dr Paras Pandove, medical superintendent, stated, “I am not aware of the incident. I will ask the concerned to look into the matter.”
