Inebriated Himachal man shoots lifeless spouse in a match of rage

A 56-year-old lady succumbed to her accidents after she was shot by her husband, who was in an inebriated state, at Radhodhar village close to Dharampur round 8:30 pm on Sunday.

The lady, Shakuntla, was rushed to the neighborhood well being centre (CHC) at Dharampur as her again was grievously wounded. She was later referred to MMU medical school the place she succumbed to her accidents.

Parwanoo DSP, Yogesh Rolta, mentioned the incident occurred when Shakuntla Devi was having dinner within the kitchen and the household had bolted the wire mesh door from outdoors to restrict the 61-year-old  Meher Chand contained in the room as he was in an inebriated state. 

Chand was indignant after requests to let him out weren’t acceded to by the members of the family. In a match of rage, he shot at his spouse and injured Shakuntla’s again. She was instantly rushed to CHC, Dharampur by different members of the family.

Meher Chand was arrested by the police and a case was registered beneath the related sections of the IPC and the Arms Act.

The put up mortem of the deceased has been performed and additional probe was underway.
