India, US vow to bolster strategic partnership

New Delhi, October 13

Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla held consultations with US Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun over a range of issues today, said the Ministry of External Affairs. “They highlighted convergences and shared interests between India and the US. Both sides reiterated their commitment to comprehensive global strategic partnership. They discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the UN,” it added.

Biegun’s engagements will also “focus on how the US and India can work together to advance peace, prosperity, and security in the Indo-Pacific and around the globe,” said the US State Department in a statement. — TNS
