Calling the ongoing farmer agitation a “Punjab Government-sponsored march by rowdies”, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Kattar on Saturday said that no farmer from Haryana had joined them.

“I am thankful to our farmers that they did not participate in this free for all. These are not farmers but trouble makers. The front runners of chaos are carrying Punjab Government cards and the concerned CM is not ready to talk about it,” said Khattar who was in city to chair a grievance committee meeting.

He further highlighted the pro-Khalistani motives behind the march and claimed that investigation agencies were already on job.

“They are openly threatening PM, citing example of Indira Gandhi. The chaos will not go unchecked. The agencies are on job and all those who created ruckus posing as farmers will be dealt with,” he said.

Lashing out at Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, Khatar said that he had been trying to speak to him since three days but he was evading calls.

“It’s unfortunate and unprecedented that despite trying relentlessly for three days the CM of a state cannot speak to his counterpart in neighbouring state. Every time I call I am told he will call back in half an hour but I am still waiting,” Khattar added.
