Union meals processing minister and Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Thursday resigned from the Cabinet in protest towards the farmers’ associated Bills the federal government has introduced in.

Harsimrat Badal walked out of Lok Sabha this night when the House was taking on dialogue on the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, that the NDA authorities has proposed in Parliament throughout the ongoing monsoon session, changing the ordinances issued by it earlier.

Speaking on the Bills, Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal introduced within the House that his social gathering’s member within the Cabinet Harsimrat Badal would resign if the Bills have been handed. Speaker Om Birla had switched off the microphone of Sukhbir Badal when he was making this announcement.
