New Delhi, December 23
Stating that farmer unions were ready to talk to the government, Swaraj Abhiyaan leader Yogendra Yadav on Wednesday said they are waiting for the Centre to come to table with open mind.
“We urge government to not repeat amendments we have rejected but come up with concrete proposals in writing,” Yadav told reporters at Singhu border.
“We have already told Home Minister Amit Shah that protesting farmers will not accept amendments,” said farmer leader Shiv Kumar Kakka.
Central govt should create conducive environment for talks with protesting farmers, added Kakka.
Government should abandon its stubbornness and accept the demands of farmers, he said. PTI
