The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the premises of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s brother on Wednesday as a part of countrywide raids in reference to a cash laundering case linked to a fertiliser rip-off, officers stated.
They stated searches are being carried out by the central probe company in at the least 13 locations in Rajasthan, West Bengal, Gujarat and Delhi.
The searches are additionally being carried out on the premises of Agrasen Gehlot in Jodhpur, who’s dealing with a Rs 7 crore customs penalty on this alleged fertiliser case, officers stated.
The ED has filed a felony case below the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) based mostly on a Customs division criticism and chargesheet within the alleged fertiliser rip-off case.
Six locations in Rajasthan, 4 in Gujarat, 2 in West Bengal and one location in Delhi are being raided by the company below the PMLA, they stated. PTI
