Dubai suspends AI flights, ferried +ve passengers

New Delhi, September 18

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority has suspended Air India Express flights until October 2 for bringing passengers with Covid-positive certificates twice over the past couple of weeks, senior authorities officers stated on Friday.

As per the UAE authorities guidelines, every passenger travelling from India is required to carry an authentic Covid-negative certificates from the RT-PCR take a look at achieved 96 hours previous to the journey.

“A passenger, who had a Covid-positive certificate dated September 2, travelled on Jaipur-Dubai flight on September 4. A similar incident had happened on one of the airline’s other flights previously,” stated an official. — PTI
