Dissident Akali leaders ‘elect’ Sukhdev Dhindsa as SAD chief; social gathering says transfer ‘illegal, fraud’

A faction of dissident Akali leaders on Tuesday “elected” Rajya Sabha MP Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa because the SAD president at a gurdwara right here, a transfer dubbed as “illegal and fraud” by the social gathering.

Cheema mentioned the SAD is a 100-year-old social gathering which is registered with the Election Commission of India.

“What they have done is 100 per cent fraud. It is illegal and amounts to forgery. They are doing it at the behest of the Congress,” alleged Cheema.

The SAD had earlier alleged that the Rajya Sabha MP and his son Parminder Dhindsa had been getting used as “pawns” by the Congress in a bid to weaken the “panthic” social gathering.

However, Dhindsa on the event mentioned the social gathering will attempt arduous to determine the eroded ideas of the Sikh politics and liberate Sikh establishments from the “clutches” of Badals.

He asserted that they are going to combat to resolve main problems with Punjab and to strengthen the federal system within the nation.

Dhindsa mentioned the social gathering pays a particular consideration to the farming group and work for enhancing the situation of the Dalits and minorities.
