Delhi markets turning Covid hotspots, Kejriwal desires to close all of them

New Delhi, November 17

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that the state government, Centre and all agencies are making “double efforts” to control COVID-19 situation in Delhi.

He said that the Delhi government has sent a proposal to the LG, allowing only 50 people to attend wedding functions now against earlier limit of 200.

“Sending proposal to the Centre to give power to Delhi government to impose lockdown in market areas, which may emerge as COVID-19 hotspots.” said Kejriwal.

He said: “I want to thank the Central government for helping people of Delhi in such difficult times,” adding that: “I appeal to Delhiites with folded hands to wear masks and follow social distancing norms.” PTI alerts
