It has been 30 long years since this elderly couple was selling home-cooked meals, earning only enough for the next day’s preparation.
But coronavirus changed everything for them and their life, which was once happy and calm. It then became a battle for survival for them.
Running a small food joint named ‘Baba ka Dhaba’ in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar, the story of their struggle went viral after they were seen crying in a video circulated on social media. AAP MLA Somnath Bharti visited them, besides thousands of others, including celebrities, cricketers and even big companies, and showed interest in bailing them out.
It started with a tweet around 10 pm on Wednesday.
