New Delhi, August 31

The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China on Sunday evening once more tried to unilaterally change establishment on the bottom close to Southern Bank of Pangong Tso lake in Eastern Ladakh and carried out provocative army actions, as per an Army assertion.

The Indian Army, nevertheless, pre-empted the PLA try and initiated steps to strengthen its positions.

The PLA, the Indian Army mentioned, violated the consensus reached upon following army and diplomatic engagements through the standoff in Eastern Ladakh.

A Brigade Commander-level flag assembly is learnt to be in progress at Chushul to resolve the problem.
