Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Monday declared MSP for six Rabi crops within the Lok Sabha. The MSP for wheat elevated by Rs 50, taking it to Rs 2,975.

The Minister made the announcement on the ground of the House after a CCEA headed by PM Narendra Modi took the choice.

“The Congress is telling the entire country that MSP will go and APMC will go. By declaring this today I want to reiterate again that MSP will remain and so will APMC,” Tomar mentioned.

Congress member Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury questioned why the federal government would not go and speak in Punjab the place farmers are on the roads. Why are they coming to the House, he mentioned amid slogan shouting by some Congress MPs.
