CBI searches four places over ‘illegal’ use of land to lift Ambience Mall in Gurugram


New Delhi, August 10

The CBI on Monday performed searches at 4 places after submitting a case of unlawful conversion of residential land to lift the swanky Ambience Mall in Gurgaon, officers stated.

The CBI has registered an FIR on the orders of Punjab and Haryana High Court which had termed the mall unlawful. 

The High Court had sought a separate investigation by the CBI to probe alleged unlawful actions, if any, and doable collusion between the builder and state authorities.

The Ambience group runs Ambience Malls in NCR and luxurious lodge The Leela Ambience Convention Centre amongst different such actual property properties. 

The petitioners had alleged earlier than the High Court that 18.98 acres of land on Delhi-Jaipur National Highway in Gurugram earmarked for Ambience Lagoon Island Residential Complex was decreased to simply 7.9 acres with a industrial complicated erected on the remaining land.
