BJP chief, 2 of household killed in Kashmir militant assault

Srinagar, July 8

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief alongside along with his father and brother have been killed in a militant assault in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday, police stated.  

The slain BJP chief has been recognized as Wasim Bari and sources stated none of his safety guards have been current on the time of the capturing. Bari was the previous district president of the BJP. 

Police stated the three members of the family have been on the store when the capturing occurred close to Kaloosa bridge. 

“BJP Bandipora leader Wasim Bari was at the shop with his father and brother when some unidentified terrorists struck and shot at them, injuring them critically. They later succumbed to their injuries,” a police officer stated.

A contingent of safety forces reached the realm and have cordoned off the entire space. Searches are being carried out to try to nab the attackers.
