New Delhi, October 5
An end to the ongoing protests on rail tracks by farmers in Punjab appears to be in sight with the Railway Board chairman on Thursday saying that the Punjab government has assured that all blockades will be removed by Friday morning.
A total of 14 of the 31 blockades were removed on Thursday.
“A team of Punjab government officials with RPF IS conducting ground survey. We will run trains as soon as tracks are under our control,” the Railway Board chairman said. — PTI
