Annamalai, ‘Singham’ of Karnataka and ex-IPS officer joins BJP

With the BJP taking a look at strengthening its base in Tamil Nadu, the social gathering on Tuesday acquired a shot in arms by getting younger former IPS officer Annamalai Kuppusamy, who is commonly dubbed as Karnataka’s ‘Singham’, to formally be a part of its fold.

Annamalai joined the BJP at social gathering headquarters in Delhi within the presence of social gathering nationwide general-secretary P Muralidhar Rao, Tamil Nadu BJP president L Murugan and BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra.

Speaking on the event Muralidhar Rao stated the social gathering was rising quick in Tamil Nadu with a number of outstanding individuals becoming a member of it. Annamalai’s entry would assist strengthen the organisation additional, he added.

“I am impressed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work. Everybody has to strengthen the Prime Minister’s efforts in order to build a strong nation,” Annamalai stated, including that the BJP was a nationalist social gathering and stands for nationwide safety.

“After resigning from the IPS, I took a year to think about my future. After a lot of thinking I took the decision to join the BJP as I believe the party stands for the common man,” he stated.

A local of Karur in Tamil Nadu, Annamalai belonged to the 2011 batch IPS officer of Karnataka cadre. He resigned for the service in 2019. He had served as Superintendent of Police in Udupi and Chikkamagalur and Deputy Commissioner of Police in Bengaluru metropolis and has all the time been identified for his uprightness.
