A day after a five-storey constructing in Maharashtra’s Raigad district collapsed, rescue personnel continued to sift by the rubble seeking survivors, whereas police stated 19 individuals are nonetheless lacking.
Raigad District Superintendent of Police Anil Paraskar informed PTI that eight folks had been rescued from the particles thus far and 19 are nonetheless lacking.
A person died of cardiac arrest on Monday evening after he was hit by a stone from the falling constructing, the IPS officer stated.
“This man was not a resident of the building, but was walking nearby when it collapsed and was hit by a stone from the falling debris. He died of cardiac arrest,” Paraskar stated.
An official on the Mantralaya State Control Room of the State Disaster Management Unit stated the Tarek Garden constructing collapsed at Kajalpura in Mahad tehsil round 7 pm.
