Thane, September 21

At least ten individuals had been killed and over a dozen feared trapped when a three-storey constructing crashed at Bhiwandi city in Thane district within the early hours of Monday.

The tragedy caught the residents in sleep when the three-storey construction in Patel Compound abruptly collapsed round 3.45 a.m.

Rescue groups of Bhiwandi-Nizampur Municipal Corporation and National Disaster Response Force have reached the location.  At least 25 individuals have been rescued, whereas one other dozen individuals are feared trapped beneath the particles. Nine individuals have sustained accidents.

Rescue operation by NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) nonetheless underway. More particulars are awaited. IANS
