Sangh affiliate SJM slams IPL, requires boycott

RSS affiliate Swadeshi Jagaran Manch on Monday slammed the Indian Premier League (IPL) and referred to as for the boycott of the VIVO IPL 2020 set to start in September.

“IPL is a business and those running this business are insensitive towards the nation and it’s security concerns,” stated Ashwani Mahajan of the Sangh’s financial wing, which has been on the forefront of the drive to boycott Chinese items and companies.

“The whole world is boycotting China, IPL is sheltering them. They should understand that nothing is above the nation, not even cricket. People may boycott IPL,” stated Mahajan.

Notably, the JPL Governing Council has determined to retain all its sponsors, together with Chinese cellular firm VIVO. It has additionally accepted Covid-19 replacements for the occasion scheduled to be held within the UAE.

The event shall be performed from September 19 to November 10, the IPL GC had determined after a digital assembly on Sunday.
