Sangakkara backs Ganguly for ICC high put up, says ‘astute brain’ makes him appropriate candidate

Sri Lanka cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara has backed Sourav Ganguly for the ICC chairman’s put up, saying the BCCI president’s “astute cricket brain” and huge expertise as an administrator make him a “very suitable” candidate for the position.

Admitting that he’s a giant fan of Ganguly, Sangakkara stated the previous India captain has a global mindset which is important to stay unbiased in an necessary place.

“I think Sourav definitely can make that change. Quite a big fan of Dada not just because of his stature as a cricketer but I think he has a very astute cricket brain,” Sangakkara, who’s presently the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Chairman, instructed ‘India Today’.
