Pakistan win toss and elect to bat in second Test vs England

Pakistan captain Azhar Ali received the toss and elected to bat in sizzling and muggy situations within the second of three Tests in opposition to England on the Rose Bowl on Thursday.

The vacationers have made one change to their facet, lengthening their batting lineup with the inclusion of Fawad Alam, 34, for spinning all-rounder Shadab Khan.

“We want to lengthen the batting and Sam has done brilliantly for us since he made his debut,” England captain Joe Root mentioned. “It feels like it could swing, it’s quite muggy.”

Curran acquired the nod over quick bowler Mark Wood, who Root indicated may play within the third Test.

“I am more than confident in the group we have, we have depth in more positions now,” he mentioned.
