Mary Kom, Lovlina get first dose of Covid-19 vaccine


Olympics-bound Indian women boxers MC Mary Kom and Lovlina Borgohain were given the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine here today. Both Mary Kom and Lovlina are training at the Army Sports Institute here. Simranjit Kaur, also bound for Tokyo, will train here too but after completing the Covid-19 post-recovery isolation.


Kohli and Anushka raise Rs11 crore for Covid relief

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and his actor wife Anushka Sharma have raised nearly Rs 11 crore in their fund-raising campaign to support Covid-19 relief work in India. The couple put in a share of Rs 2 crore and the funds raised through the campaign will be donated to Act Grants to aid Covid-19 relief.

Former India cricketer RP Singh lost his father to Covid-19 today. The 35-year-old left-arm pacer from Uttar Pradesh informed about the death of his father Shiv Prasad Singh on Twitter. RP Singh represented India in 14 Tests, 58 ODIs and 10 T20Is before retiring in 2018.
