KXIP lose once more, face early exit

Abu Dhabi, October 10

Kings XI Punjab self-destructed in their IPL encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders today to suffer their sixth defeat in seven matches, and fifth on the trot. KXIP have two points from seven matches and need a miracle to qualify for the knockout stage.

Chasing 165, KXIP opening pair KL Rahul (74) and Mayank Agawal (56) added 115 runs in 14.2 and the team seemed set for a comfortable win. KXIP needed 22 from the last three overs, but KKR bowlers Sunil Narine and Prasidh Krishna ensured a two-run win for their team.
