Joshna Chinappa again in world’s top-10

New Delhi, July 8

India’s squash star Joshna Chinappa broke again into the top-10 of the PSA world rankings following the shock retirement of Egyptian world No. 1 Raneem El Welily.

Joshna, who has not performed since March because of the COVID-19 pandemic, moved up a spot to be in 10th place.

The 33-year-old had entered the top-10 for the primary time in 2016. Dipika Pallikal is the opposite Indian feminine participant who has achieved the feat.

Egypt’s Nouran Gohar is the brand new world No. 1 following Raneem’s retirement.

Raneem had held the highest spot for 19 months earlier than asserting a sudden retirement final month.

India’s prime male participant Saurav Ghosal stays 13th within the newest rankings.

The PSA tour is suspended till at the least mid-August because of the coronavirus outbreak. PTI
