Ishant Sharma out of IPL with ribcage damage

Dubai, October 12

Veteran pacer Ishant Sharma was today ruled out of the Indian Premier League with a ribcage injury, his team Delhi Capitals said. Earlier, leg-spinner Amit Mishra’s campaign ended due to a ring-finger fracture.

The 32-year-old Sharma had featured in only one of the seven games that Delhi Capitals have played so far.

Sharma’s participation in the Test series in Australia later this year will now depend on how his rehabilitation programme goes.
