India’s restricted overs collection at residence towards England postponed

New Delhi, August 7

India’s restricted overs collection towards England, scheduled at residence in September-October, was on Friday postponed till early 2021 as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.

Both groups have been scheduled to play three ODIs and as many T20Is. The matches may now be held after the Test collection between the 2 in India early subsequent 12 months.

“BCCI and ECB are in consultation with a view to confirming the 2021 schedules for an all-formats England men’s tour to India to run from late January to late March and for India’s Test tour to England due in the summer of 2021,” the BCCI mentioned in a press release.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah added: “The BCCI and ECB are working carefully to finalise the day-wise schedule as we transfer in the direction of the resumption of cricket.”

“The India-England series is one of the most anticipated contests in world cricket. The two teams compete hard on the field and provide some riveting moments,” he added.

The COVID-19 case depend has exceeded the 20 lakh mark in India. PTI
