Chandigarh’s direct qualification hopes were dashed with an eight-wicket loss to Jammu & Kashmir in their Group E match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Chandigarh (12 points) finished in second place, four points behind Saurashtra, who suffered a 62-run loss to Services but still managed to qualify for the knockout phase.
Chandigarh were bowled out for 241. Manan Vohra top-scored with 54, while Parvez Rasool was the best bowler for J&K. Centuries by Shubham Khajuria and Henan Nazir then helped J&K chase down the target in 34 overs.
Mumbai trounce Himachal
Jaipur: Mumbai trounced Himachal Pradesh by 200 runs in their final Elite Group D game here today to remain unbeaten in the league stage.
