Captain Manpreet, three different hockey gamers check constructive for COVID-19


New Delhi, August 7

The Indian males’s hockey group captain Manpreet Singh and three different gamers have examined constructive for COVID-19 forward of a nationwide camp in Bengaluru, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) stated on Friday.

Besides Manpreet, defender Surender Kumar, Jaskaran Singh and drag-flicker Varun Kumar have additionally examined constructive for the lethal virus.

“I am self-quarantined on the SAI campus and I am very happy with the way SAI authorities have handled the situation…I am doing fine and hope to recover very soon,” Manpreet stated within the assertion issued by SAI.

The gamers examined constructive after returning to the nationwide hockey camp on the SAI South Centre in Bengaluru following a month-long break.

They have been earlier stranded on the centre for over two months when a nationwide lockdown was imposed to include the virus. PTI
