The LJP will hold a meeting tomorrow to decide whether to go with the NDA or contest 143 seats on its own in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
The party has already indicated it will contest 143 seats, if it does not get an “honourable” deal within the NDA. At the same time, it has also assured not to contest against the BJP.
LJP president Chirag Paswan yesterday flagged issues with JD(U) supremo and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda. In the 2015 Assembly elections, the party had contested 42 seats and won only two.
