UP: three held for communal posts on social media on Ram Mandir ‘bhoomi pujan’ day


Bahraich (UP), August 7

Three individuals, together with a health care provider, linked to Popular Front of India (PFI) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) have been arrested for his or her social media posts on the day of Ram temple ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ which was allegedly towards communal amity, police mentioned on Friday.

Additional Superintendent of Police Kunwar Gyananjay mentioned they obtained info on Wednesday about some folks sitting in clinic of Dr Aleem forwarding messages on WhatsApp and tweeting feedback which have been towards communal amity and nationwide integrity.

When police reached there, Dr Aleem, Kamruddin and Sahibe Alam have been discovered concerned within the act, he mentioned.

All the three have been arrested.

Among them Sahibe Alam was the previous workplace bearer of PFI and dealing as media incharge of SDPI, the police officer mentioned.

Both Dr Aleem and Kamruddin have been members of SDPI WhatsApp group, he mentioned, including an in depth probe about their hyperlinks to SDPI and PFI was underway. PTI
