Undue significance being given to Kangana’s remarks: Pawar

Undue significance is being connected to the statements made by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, NCP chief Sharad Pawar stated on Wednesday with out naming her.

He stated persons are not taking her remarks severely.

The former Union minister additionally stated that he doesn’t take severely the risk calls he obtained earlier this week.

Ranaut waded into controversy after she not too long ago likened Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and stated she feared town police greater than the “movie mafia”.

“We are giving undue importance to those making such statements. We will have to see what influence such statements have on the people at large,” Pawar advised reporters.

“In my opinion, people do not take seriously (such statements),” the veteran chief stated.

Pawar stated the folks of Maharashtra and Mumbai have “years of experience” of how the state and metropolis’s police work.

“They (people) know the performance of the police. And hence, we need not pay heed to what one says,” he added.

Asked concerning the risk calls he obtained, Pawar stated, “I’ve simply been given the file of risk calls I obtained and from the place these had been made.

“I have received calls in the past too. We don’t take it seriously,” the chief added. PTI
