Taiwan will get new consultant for India

New Delhi, July 10

Taiwan has effected a change of guard right here in the course of India’s tensions with China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The East Asian and Pacific Affairs Director-General, Baushuan Ger, has been named Taiwan’s consultant to India changing Tien Chung-Kwang, who was within the submit for over seven years.

Tien will exchange Hsu Szu-chien as Deputy Foreign Minister who has been appointed as deputy secretary-general of the National Security Council (NSC).

“Not only does such an arrangement convey approval for Tien’s performance as Taiwan’s representative to India over the past seven years but it also suggests that the relationship with India is likely to become one of Taiwan’s most important diplomatic priorities in the future,” mentioned a Taiwan media evaluation.
