Kolkata, July 22
A suspected COVID-19 affected person, his pregnant spouse and youngster have been allegedly overwhelmed up by their neighbours at Patuli within the southern a part of town, police stated on Wednesday.
An investigation has been initiated into the case after a criticism was lodged on the native police station by the person.
“My three-year-old son, my wife who is three months’ pregnant and I have been assaulted physically by our immediate neighbours on Tuesday afternoon. They pushed my wife and beat me with shoes. Our neighbours are opposing our stay at our home though we are staying strictly inside our flat and have not violated any quarantine protocol,” the person stated.
Neighbours have, nonetheless, rubbished the allegations and have accused the person and his relations of violating the house isolation protocol associated to COVID-19.
“The man and his family members are not confining themselves inside their flat and are instead roaming around in the apartment building. This is very risky for other residents of the apartment. We have not beaten up anybody… they are lying,” one of many neighbours stated.
The man had been examined final week and the result’s awaited. Tests have been carried out on his spouse and son as nicely and each had examined unfavourable. PTI
