Sushant case: NCB arrests member of late actor’s private workers

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday arrested Dipesh Sawant, a member of Sushant Singh Rajput’s private workers, in reference to a medicine probe linked to the actor’s demise, officers mentioned.

With this, the overall variety of individuals arrested on this case has gone as much as six.

The officers mentioned Dipesh Sawant, who was being questioned since morning, has been arrested beneath sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

A senior NCB officer had earlier mentioned that Sawant’s position was that of a “witness” within the case.

The federal anti-narcotics company had on Friday arrested Showik Chakraborty (24), the brother of major accused on this case Rhea Chakraborty, and Samuel Miranda, Rajput’s home supervisor. 

Various angles surrounding the demise of the 34-year-old actor are being probed by three federal businesses, together with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The company is probing the drug angle on this case beneath prison sections of the NDPS Act after the ED shared with it a report following the cloning of two cellphones of Rhea.

The NCB has mentioned it was wanting into “the drug citadel in Mumbai, and especially Bollywood” on this case.

Rajput was discovered useless at his flat in suburban Bandra space of Mumbai on June 14. PTI
